AV services for hire

As I arrived to the venue, the presentation AV team and hotel staff quickly dismantled the room, including projection screens, projectors, chairs, tables, podium and stage. Once the room was reset with a performance area and dance floor, I got to work installing lighting and sound for the evening party. Guest DJs from the conference meeting were arriving soon to do sound checks and make sure their laptops could connect to the equipment I provided, including a DJ controller, microphone, audio mixer with multiple connection types, a large speaker system, ambient and moving lighting.

Fortunately, there were no snags in regard to the power connections to make sure all this gear would work flawlessly once powered up. Each guest “DJ” tried their equipment and made sure it all worked for them, including space to set up their laptop on a stand. All went well except for the USB adapters that one person had brought. Once that was all resolved by swapping out a cable, everyone was set and ready for the crowd. The house lights were turned off and the mob danced and danced… until 2 AM.

It was a great party with less than 1% of the audience sitting down and a full dance floor the whole time. Before the night was over, several people said they would be back next year and loved, loved, loved the experience. So, it seems I will have another repeat client.
