LED dance floor technology has been rapidly advancing over the last few decades.  Products include numerous options for you to enhance your event experience with a light show under your feet. New to our menu in 2025, we now offer a second type of LED dance floor. Our two dance floors share several similar features. LED Dance Floor Rental Near Me

First, let me address the meaning of “LED”.  LED is an acronym that is short for Light Emitting Diode. We find LEDs in a lot of technology, and they come in so many forms. There are also a variety of dance floor designs that utilize LEDs to illuminate them. Some light up a whole square at a time while others work a bit like a TV; where you may see each LED as a single pixel, separated from other LEDs by some distance. The closer together the pixels, the greater the detail and the more it will look like a giant TV and less like a dance floor.

Our interactive dance floor includes pixels that are close enough together to provide an understanding of images, videos and animations but isn’t ideal for imagery where detail is important. Our black top pixel floor includes LEDs that are a little farther apart and thus less ideal for displaying logos, graphics, photos or videos. These dance floors were built for their effect and energy efficiency. Floors with a higher density of pixels are better for watching a show, playing a game, video, photos and detailed graphics, so long as the floor isn’t covered with people. Imagine trying to watch a video with shoes all over the screen. 🙁

Our black top pixel floor is 1.25 inches thin while our interactive dance floor is 2.7 inches… a bit taller. Either one sits on top of a hard, smooth and clean surface such as concrete, carpet, tile or wood. We once put our dance floor on a grass area and once over sand but both scenarios required that we first put down a hard, smooth and clean subfloor to make it safe to install the electronic dance floor.  This, of course, involves a lot more work than just installing one floor and thus also affects the price to provide our light up dance floor.

LED dance floors are an exciting way to provide a different experience for your guests. How many events have a dance floor… but how many have one that lights up and does a lot of cool stuff?

Our interactive video LED dance floor responds to the steps of your guestsOur floors are able to be computer-controlled and with over 200 animations, we keep the effects and experience interesting throughout each event. Our interactive dance floor adds another aspect to the experience that draws guests to discover if and how the floor will react to them. People often come to test it out by lightly tapping their foot on it to see the reaction. Once they discover the fun, they usually stay and play.

Our LED floors don’t contain any mirrors. This may or may not be an issue for you or your guests but if your guests might wear short skirts or dresses, they may be uncomfortable over a mirrored dance floor. We are all about making sure the experience is fun but we also don’t want people to be staring down at the floor for the wrong reasons. Thus, our dance floors are safe from that temptation. 🙂
